Olympique Lyon striker Memphis Depay showed on Saturday with a brilliant hit in an exhibition game with Celtic (2-1 win) that he is completely back after his serious knee injury. In Italy Atalanta lost two points.

Memphis made the second goal in the Groupama Stadium of Olympique Lyon with a nice heel behind his standing leg five minutes before half-time. The French had taken the lead in the opening phase of the duel with Celtic via Moussa Dembélé.

In the second half, Memphis hit the crossbar and Mohamed Elyounoussi made the 2-1 on behalf of Celtic just before time.

Memphis, who tore a cruciate ligament in his knee on December 15, made his comeback early this month in a practice game against the amateurs of US Port Valais (12-0). Then he scored four goals. The Orange-international then participated as a substitute in friendly matches with OGC Nice (1-0 win) and Rangers FC (0-2 loss).

The Ligue 1 season was cut short due to the corona crisis, but Olympique Lyon is still preparing for the final of the Coupe de la Ligue (July 31 against Paris Saint-Germain) and the resumption of the Champions League (return against Juventus in the eighth finals on August 7).

Atalanta not quite sure about CL ticket yet

In Serie A, Hans Hateboer and Marten de Roon with Atalanta visiting mid-engine Hellas Verona got stuck on a 1-1 draw.

Duván Zapata opened the score for Atalanta shortly after half-time, with Hateboer having a basic place and De Roon filling in 11 minutes before time. The Colombian took advantage of Koray Günter's defensive bumbling and shot the ball into the left corner.

With his goal, Zapata set a new club record. Atalanta scored for the 22nd time in a row in Serie A. Earlier, the Northern Italians already set a club record with nine league wins in a row. In addition, the team has been unbeaten since January 20.

The visitors didn't enjoy the lead for long, as Matteo Pessina tied the score nine minutes later. The midfielder of Hellas Verona exploited the rebound after goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini did not hold a shot by Amir Rrahmani.

Due to the draw, Atalanta, which has already scored 94 times this season, remains the number three in the rankings. Like number two Internazionale, the formation of Gian Piero Gasperini needs six points less than league-leader Juventus and one more point to be sure of a Champions League ticket.
