Conditions at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio were not the best yesterday. The wind made it difficult for the golfers. For Henrik Norlander, it was a 74-round, two over par.

Today, the 33-year-old Swede followed up with a cannon round: 66 strokes.

- It was good, it was stable from the beginning. I putted well and the greens were better today, it was not as trampled as yesterday afternoon. No wind this morning either. I played okay yesterday too, it was really tough just. I had a cruel finish with a birdie of 13 and 18 yesterday, so I had a good feeling when I came out this morning, says Norlander.

"I had the right mindset"

Sounds like the finish yesterday paved the way for a nice round today?

- Yes exactly.

- Yesterday it blew so much when we warmed up, so somewhere around the couple felt okay. 74 strokes was not so dangerous. It was not what I had hoped for, but I did not panic.

He has felt in shape lately and thinks that the round of 66 strokes today is a nice proof of that.

- I had the right mindset yesterday, I did not play badly. It was more that it was difficult to choose the right clubs and read the wind. So I think I have had a really good attitude, yesterday's lap was better than the score. It feels good.

"I can attack a little more"

Now two rounds await - Saturday and Sunday.

- I get to attack a little more, play a little more aggressively. It is a very special course, it is great. But you can hit an almost perfect shot, but it still gets bogey. The margins are not that big if you play too aggressively. It's important that I play my game, not try to force anything - then it can go the other way.

But you sound safe before the weekend ends.

- It's sad to say, but I try to take one blow at a time. I know I'm playing well right now.
