DeNA team's beer is used as a disinfectant solution Waste is used after the opening of the event Corona July 17 19:30

Professional baseball/DeNA will compete with the spectators from the Giants match on the 17th night at the Yokohama stadium where it is based. The baseball team has begun efforts to extract alcohol from beer that is no longer available for sale after the opening of the event and replace it with disinfectant.

DeNA sells brewed beer named “BAYSTARS ALE” at its Yokohama Stadium, which is based in cooperation with a local brewing company.

This season the opening of the event was postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus, so we were unable to sell the approximately 3000 liters of beer we had prepared.

Under such circumstances, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has approved the use of alcohol with a high alcohol concentration as a substitute for the disinfectant solution, so we produced a disinfectant solution with an alcohol concentration of 70% using the beer that was scheduled to be discarded.

About 180 liters of antiseptic solution was prepared in the baggage inspection area at the stadium from the Giant Battle on the 17th, and after the audience sprayed it on their hands and fingers, they entered the venue.

The scent of liquor remained in the disinfectant, and one of the female fans said, "Because I always drink beer deliciously, I think it's great to be used in this way."

Mr. Nobu Yamagishi of the baseball team said, “I'm happy that the beer made with all my heart can be used for the safety of the audience. I would like to disinfect it with this and enjoy watching the game.”
