Fraudsters "divorced" Tedesco by 250 thousand rubles

Last week was extremely unsuccessful for the head coach of the Moscow Spartak Domenico Tedesco. After a protracted losing streak, the red-and-white fell to 11th place in the RPL standings, and the mentor in the match against Lokomotiv earned disqualification before the end of the championship and a fine of 500 thousand rubles. In addition, a German specialist became a victim of scammers.

Two days before the game with Sochi, which Tedesco was watching from the rostrum, he received a message from an unfamiliar number on his phone. On the profile picture, however, there was a photo of one of the club staff, so the 34-year-old German did not notice the catch.

The interlocutor asked Tedesco to urgently transfer him to the card 250 thousand rubles, allegedly for the treatment of a relative. The trusting coach quickly made the transaction, although the Spartak employee, whose name the unknown fraudster introduced himself, was practically in the next room of the hotel.

The deception revealed itself pretty soon. As it turned out, the number from which Tedesco wrote was registered to a certain Oksana Tsoev from North Ossetia. Now the case is being handled by the security service of Spartak. Also filed a police report. The new general director of the team, Shamil Gazizov, promised to deal with the unpleasant situation in accordance with Russian legislation.

Popov refused a free taxi and decided to help sick children

The 17-year-old goalkeeper of the Rostov youth team Denis Popov fell in love with the whole country after the RPL match with Sochi, in which the main yellow-blue team could not perform due to the infection of several football players with the coronavirus. The young man conceded ten goals from more experienced opponents, but set a league record for the number of saves per match (15) and managed to repel a penalty from Anton Zabolotny.

One of the leading taxi booking services wanted to reward the novice athlete with the right of life-long travel without payment. Popov thanked for the generous offer, but found it necessary to refuse. He decided to transfer the money that the company could spend on transporting the goalkeeper to children with cancer, which the Khabensky Foundation helps.

“I’ll still earn my own, but there are those who need help right now,” Popov emphasized.

Subscribers appreciated Denis's action, showering him with compliments in the comments. One of the fans wished the player “not to turn into Kokorin” and successfully pass the test of attention, fame and money. Popov answered some comments personally.

As it turned out, his game made a huge impression on Rostov taxi drivers. One of them even wanted to put a photograph of Popov on his car. The goalkeeper later signed a soccer ball for the driver.

Piquet arrived at Camp Nou in an electric bike without wearing a helmet

More experienced colleague Popov by profession Gerard Piquet prefers taxi other modes of transport. The Barcelona defender arrived in the Catalan derby with Espanyol by electric bicycle, causing a stir among the fans. Reporters found that an electric bike of this model costs about € 10 thousand. Lionel Messi and Cesc Fabregas own the same means of transportation.

Followers on social networks also noticed that the 33-year-old Pique was driving to the Camp Nou stadium without a mask or helmet, as required by the rules. As a result of this game, “Espanyol” lost the chances of maintaining a residence permit in the Example and for the second time in its history left the top division of the championship of Spain. Pique spent the whole match in his usual position in the center of defense.

There is a Pique in the RPL. In terms of performing skills and titles, the 20-year-old Pavel Maslov from Spartak is still far from the Spaniard, but he also prefers to travel on environmentally friendly vehicles. For example, after playing with Ufa, the defender left Otkritie Arena on a scooter. Maslov admitted to reporters that he lives near the stadium, and therefore prefers to move that way.

In St. Petersburg, they will name the metro station in honor of "Zenith"

The station of the St. Petersburg metro Novokrestovskaya will be renamed into Zenith. The corresponding decision was adopted by a majority of votes by the city toponymic commission. 17 members of the commission spoke in favor of the new name, six against. Two abstained.

“It is symbolic that this happened in the year of the 95th anniversary of the blue-white-blue and the conquest of the seventh in the history of the championship club,” said team director Alexander Medvedev.

He specified that Zenit will cover a significant part of the costs associated with renaming. We are talking about updating the maps of St. Petersburg and information signs.

The Novokrestovskaya station is the closest to Gazprom Arena, the Zenith home stadium. It was opened before the World Cup in May 2018 on Krestovsky Island.

Suggestions to name the station in honor of the football club sounded even at the construction stage of the facility, and in September 2019, Zenit sent a letter with the corresponding request to the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. In the explanation of the application it was said that the new name of the station would facilitate the search for maps and guidebooks for residents and visitors of the city and “cause analogies with a specific place”.
