Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City Football Club, demanded to apologize to his club after the European suspension was lifted, and accused critics of the court ruling to lift the sentence, with jealousy.

The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAAS) ruled yesterday, Monday, to lift the penalty imposed by the European Football Association (UEFA) on Manchester City, by denying participation in European competitions for two years.

"It was a great soccer day, and it wasn't a bad day because it showed that we play according to the same rules as all elite clubs," the Spanish coach said on Tuesday.

Guardiola said: "I am happy with the decision to an unbelievable degree, as it shows that everything that people have said about Siti is not real, and we should apologize to us."

Guardiola declined to talk specifically about his future with City, whose contract continues until the summer of 2021.
