The superb bottom team Norwich struggled as best they could but literally created nothing going forward. The home team Chelsea had 67-33 in ball percentage and 18-1 in the final.

Somewhat worrying, however, was Chelsea's inexperience going forward but the three points were never threatened.

Now the team strengthened its third place, four points ahead of four Leicester and five Manchester United. Then the top competitors still have their match in the 36th round. After that, two matches remain.

Two of the three teams qualify directly for the Champions League, while the third has to settle for Europa League games.

Chelsea's win was extra significant when Leicester and United meet in the final round.
