The investigation into the blood-doping scandal from the ski world championships in Austrian Seefeld last year is extensive and includes 21 athletes.

German physician Mark Schmidt, who is considered the brain behind this, is facing prosecution and trial is pending in September.

Now, a service man, who acknowledged the crime, is convicted of helping Mark Schmidt transfer growth hormones to the doping convicted cross-country skiers Max Hauke and Dominik Baldauf.

The serviceman also claims that Schmidt asked him to hand over doping-class preparations to former alpine world champion Hannes Reichelt, but he could not confirm that the delivery had arrived.

40-year-old Reichelt has previously been under scrutiny for using unauthorized funds, but the investigation was closed last year due to a lack of evidence.
