The Sports Arbitration Court (Cass) announced today, Monday, the cancellation of the penalty imposed by the European Football Association (UEFA) on English club Manchester City, by denying it to competitions for two seasons because of violating the rules of fair financial play, limited to a financial fine of 10 million euros.
The court agreed, according to the summary of the decision published on its website, to the appeal submitted by the English club, canceled the suspension penalty, and reduced the financial fine imposed by (WIFA), from 30 million euros to ten million.
City, crowned champion of the Premier League in 2018 and 2019, guaranteed to qualify for the next season of the Champions League, as this season will end in second place in the Premier League standings behind Liverpool, who won the local title in his favor.
