Lionel Messi (Barcelona) scored another record by joining Spain's first professional '20-20 Club' (20 goals-20 assists) in Primera Liga (La Liga).

Messi led the team's 1-0 win by assisting Arturo Vidal's goal in the first half of the 15th minute of the 2019-2020 Primera vs. Valladolid at the Jose Soriya Stadium in Valladolid, Spain.

Barcelona scored 79 points, chasing the lead Real Madrid (80 points), which played less than one game, by one point.

Messi helped Vidal's goal by stabbing the pass between two opposing defenders near the right side of the penalty area in the first 15 minutes.

With this help, Messi succeeded in joining the '20-20 Club' with 22 goals and 20 help, increasing his regular league help to 20 this season.

Messi is the first player in the previous Primera Liga to be named '20-20 Club' in one season.

It was only 11 seasons after Xavi Hernandez (20 help) in the 2008-2009 season that La Liga had a record of 20 help.

Messi was the second-ever '20-20 Club' member since Thierry Henry, who scored 24 goals and 20 assists in the English Premier League Arsenal in the 2002-2003 season.
