Newcomers Uppsala have started the season nicely and stood before the game at four points. Against Piteå, however, the quality difference was evident during the first half of the match. The 2018 champions pressed on a decent but capable Emma Holmgren, goalkeeper from the U23 national team, and the Uppsala defense stood pallet.

The most dangerous position of the first half was a heavy distance shot from Josefin Johansson, which Holmgren had to tip over the bar. It was also a distance shot that would give the management to the guests from the north. After three wonderful entouch passes, Fernanda Da Silva got the ball unguarded outside the penalty area. The 26-year-old did not hesitate, but pressed a low well-placed left shot next to Holmgren's right post and 1-0 was a fact.

The goal came logically but the Piteå press slowed down and Uppsala was let into the match. However, Piteå would resist and could go home with three well-deserved points in the baggage. Piteå up seven points, the same as the series leaders Gothenburg.
