Malmö FF grabbed the clock stick on Thursday's second cup semi-final and had a game and chance advantage in the first half of the match.

The closest target was Sören Rieks who nodded hard but not well enough from close range. Mjällby's goalkeeper Carljohan Eriksson made a good save. He had to make more interventions. Among other things, Isaac Kiese Thelin had an open position but did not get to the shot and Eriksson was able to make a foot parade.

Mjällby was not harmless but tried with his long balls. Besard Sabovic found a free Taylor Silverholt, who pushed Johan Dahlin to a nice save.

Pearls of burnt chances

The second half looked like the first. A clear game takeover for Malmö with a pearl band of chances. Jonas Knudsen nodded from close range, Sören Rieks got a hard shot and Ola Toivonen almost managed to screw in a free kick.

Malmö's ball takeover was sometimes interrupted by Mjällby attempt. The best part was a shot close by Joel Nilsson inside the penalty area.

At full time, the match was speechless and went to extension.

The match is ongoing.
