SC Cambuur won the first exhibition game of a Dutch professional club since the corona crisis with double figures on Thursday evening. The Frisians were in their own stadium 11-0 too strong for the amateurs of ONS Sneek, for a small number of spectators.
Ragnar Oratmangoen was accurate three times on behalf of Cambuur and Jamie Jacobs found the net twice. The other goals were credited to Michael Breij, Joël Brandsma (own goal), Issa Kallon, Robert Mühren, Giovanni Korte and Kellian van der Kaap.
A small number of spectators attended the game in the Cambuur Stadium. "Against all odds, supporters might be there again. Although a maximum of 250, hopefully this is another step in the right direction, towards a sold-out Cambuur Stadium in the long term," the club from Leeuwarden reports on its website.
Earlier in the day, the payment football clubs were sent a protocol from the KNVB about the guidelines with regard to admitting the public. It states, among other things, that research shows that - according to current government regulations - 20 to 40 percent of the stadium capacity can be used.

Cambuur missed promotion to Eredivisie
Cambuur last took action exactly four months ago. The team of coach Henk de Jong then won 0-3 at Jong AZ and was a leader in the Kitchen Champion Division on the way to promotion to the Eredivisie.
However, Cambuur did not get that promotion, as the season was not completed due to the corona crisis. The club from Leeuwarden went to court to challenge the decision of the KNVB not to apply a promotion, but was unsuccessful.
Cambuur is currently preparing for the new season in the Kitchen Champion. That starts on August 28, two weeks before the start of the Eredivisie.
