18-year-old Märta Rosenberg from Jutland Duved took gold, silver and bronze when the Youth Olympics were decided in the Swiss Lausanne at the beginning of the year - achievements that impressed Charlotte Kalla.

"Märta's efforts during the Youth Olympics in Lausanne made a strong impression on me and Märta's joy at skiing can take her far," the 32-year-old national team star said in a press release.

The scholarship is worth SEK 15,000, is distributed by Pajala municipality and is aimed at young people between 16 and 20 years in Norrland's sparsely populated area where the conditions for elite initiatives are tougher.

Märta Rosenberg got to see the season interrupted in the middle of the junior championship this spring due to the corona pandemic, but still managed to win gold at 15 kilometers classic.

"Once we start competing again it will be extra fun," says Rosenberg.

In Lausanne there was gold in 5 kilometers classic, silver in ski cross and bronze in sprint.
