Today, Syrian football lost one of the prominent stars in the history of the Syrian national team and the police club, Haitham Berjali, for 66 years. According to the Syrian News Agency, Berkali died of a sudden heart attack. And the late attributed, cited a note of what he had provided throughout his long career.
Berkali has played for many clubs, such as the police, army and unit, and is considered the first player in Syrian history to obtain a contract to play in Europe, within the Bosnian club Sarajevo, during the period of the former Yugoslavia.
