The tenth session of the Dubai Sports World opened yesterday, the most famous summer event, which was launched by the Dubai World Trade Center, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, and its activities will continue until the third of October.
Dubai Sports World will be held this year, amid strict preventive measures, to ensure the health and safety of all people and workers at the event site, in line with Dubai's efforts to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus. All entrances to the establishment of events were equipped with thermal cameras to check the visitors' temperature, and disinfection equipment was installed throughout the site, and visitors are required to wear masks at all times, unless they engage in heavy physical activities.
The announcement of the organization of the activities of "Dubai Sports World", this year, comes after the decision of Dubai Sports Council to resume sports and various fitness activities, while adhering to all the instructions and directives issued by the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management, and other health authorities, in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of players Visitors and community members.
A statement issued by the Dubai Sports Council said, "Dubai Sports World" offers a modified program, which hosts eight sports: football, basketball, cricket, badminton, tennis, volleyball, paddle tennis, and table tennis.
The statement added: “Each sport adheres to the health instructions and directives issued by the Dubai government, to ensure that the absorption of athletes in each stadium is kept in complete safety, as the organizers equipped a team of fully trained workers to assist in all sports activities, and equip a team that specializes in sterilization, which will be Responsible for the safe disinfection of all sports equipment on a regular basis throughout the gym. ”
The opening of the "Dubai Sports World", which was held in the stadiums of the halls of Zabeel: 4, 5, and 6, were: Dubai Sports Council Secretary General Saeed Hareb and Executive Vice President of Exhibition and Conference Hall Management at the Dubai World Trade Center, Maher Julfar, And Assistant Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma.
Saeed Hareb stressed that "Dubai Sports World" is one of the most important sporting events on the Dubai Sports Council's annual agenda.
He said, in press statements: "We are very happy to announce the launch of the tenth session of this pioneering social sports initiative that everyone is awaiting, which has proven successful and sustainable, despite the current challenges."
He added, “This session of (Dubai Sports World) is the most important thing ever to be organized in this difficult time for the world. The Dubai Sports Council is working, through this event, to gradually revive the sporting activity in Dubai, while applying the protocols that it set as a condition Essential for any sporting event. ” He pointed out, “We are fortunate to have a partner like the Dubai World Trade Center, who is compatible with us in our vision and goals, to make the resumption of sporting activity possible in these circumstances.
