Bryson DeChambeau was behind three-time leader Matthew Wolff as the two went out on Sunday's final round in Detroit.

18 holes later, it was DeChambeau who was three shots ahead of Wolff, and the 26-year-old thus took home his sixth victory on the North American Pro Tour.

It took only three holes for DeChambeau to catch up and despite a visit to the water on the 14th hole for the prospective winner, Wolff could never rise. His total of -20 was in turn two teams ahead of third Kevin Kisner.

During the week DeChambeau received headlines for his diet, his swing and not least the long stretches. His drive reached several holes during the race well over 350 meters.

It was therefore no wonder that in his victory at 18th green he thanked the club and ball manufacturers. He also took the opportunity to respond to many of those who have criticized his special style on social media.

- I wanted people to see a different way of playing. If you give everything you have and fight hard, you can achieve amazing things, he said.
