Three competitions were held before the corona pandemic paralyzed an entire world: Monte-Carlo, Sweden and Mexico.

Several organizers have announced that they choose to set up competitions. The latest in the line is Argentina, which today announced that the popular weekend in Cordoba will not go away.

In order for a World Cup to be considered complete, and for a world champion to be crowned, at least seven competitions must be conducted. That is why the international car sports association, Fia, together with the World Rally Championship, WRC, has been looking at solutions where new countries and cities can get World Cup status.

Now it is clear that for the first time Estonia will host a competition when the World Cup series resumes in Tartu on 5-6 September. The 33rd country to host a competition since its inception in 1973.

- They have many, many years of experience organizing rallies and it was one of the best fan experiences one could have in Europe. Obviously, many of the requirements are met and we look forward to seeing if plans can be made to see if they can be part of the World Cup rally this year, Ciesla told SVT Sport in early June .

After that, four more competitions are nailed.

- The calendar looks good and fortunately we found solutions so we can continue to run, says rally star Thierry Neuville to SVT Sport.

Neuville is currently in Swedish Höljes to resume competition in rallycross.

- It has been a very quiet period. Now I am back in competition this weekend and have undergone several tests over the past few weeks. It is a strange situation for everyone, but it seems that things are returning to normal, step by step.
