A source in the Asian Football Confederation confirmed to the German News Agency that the Competitions Committee of the Continental Federation of the game submitted a recommendation to the Executive Office that includes the establishment of the AFC Champions League with the combined championship system in one country from the group stage to the semi-finals in eastern and western continent.
The AFC Champions League matches have been stalled since the outbreak of the Corona virus, particularly last February.
The AFC Executive Office will need to discuss and adopt the recommendation made for implementation.
According to the Asian source, the period from 14 September to 3 October has been set as the date for the group stage matches and the exclusionary roles that will be played from one match.
According to the tournament system, the final game of one match will also be played in West Africa this year.
The AFC is expected to open the door in the coming days to run for the combined AFC Champions League matches.
