Eduardo Chozas is "advancing to finish my Tour". This is recognized in a publication on Twitter on the occasion of his 60th birthday .
The former cyclist, a Eurosport commentator for the past few years, has revealed that he has undergone a bone marrow transplant - "17 hard days" - to continue battling the lymphoma that was detected "years ago".
" I was physically deteriorating and my doctors decided to take this step forward," explains Chozas, who turns 60 " full of hope and hope."
The man from Madrid was professional for thirteen seasons achieving 26 victories , including four in the Tour de France and three in the Giro d'Italia . He is the second rider who has completed the greatest laps in his career, with 26, obtaining a sixth place overall in the Vuelta del 83 and Giro 1990.
