The Iraqi Ministry of Health rejected a request from the Iraqi Football Association to establish the Rafidain National Team in preparation for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers and the nations of Asia 2023, in order to avoid the injury of players to new injuries.

The Iraqi Football Association website said today: "Approval for group training has been refused at the Al-Jadiriya Stadium in Baghdad, and the Iraqi team will continue to train remotely until the middle of this month."

It is noteworthy that Iraqi football lost a number of its most prominent stars due to infection in the Corona virus, most notably the former star Ahmed Radi and the former international player Ali Hadi.
