Colombian cyclist Nairo Quintana was struck by a car on Thursday while training for the Tour de France in central Colombia, the mayor of the city in which the accident occurred on Friday. Arriving at the scene a few minutes after the accident, she assured Blu Radio that Quintana was "out of danger", despite "knee pain" and "elbow scratches". Quintana has returned to his home, where he needs medical treatment, she added.
