Emelie Wibron, Amanda Delgado Johansson, Sofia Joelsson, Finnish sisters Oona and Veera Kauppi, Cornelia Fjellstedt and Myra Aggestål. The entire line of SSL stars may be playing in the newcomer Team Thorengruppen as the series starts again.

This past season they took gold with Iksu, but when they are expected to pull out next week, the Thorene group can suddenly get a super team. That after the Thorengruppen today got through an appeal that makes them the first reserve team for the high league.

- It has been my feeling that if Thorene's group had received a negative response today, Iksu would have been in a more difficult situation. This helps them make the decision they wanted to make because in such cases there will be opportunities for games in SSL for all their players who have their lives in Umeå and have locked themselves here, says Jocke Sjöström, now sports manager at Thorengruppen and until recently club manager in Iksu.

Interest seems to be great on the part of the established stars.

- From a hypothetical point of view, you can probably see everyone since no one has done anything with any other club. It is certainly a signal that you are at least interested in remaining. We have strong indications from many that people are very happy in Umeå and with each other, says Sjöström.

The Sports Manager has 10-15 players in the current Thorengruppen with whom he has had a dialogue and explained that a number of more qualified players from Iksu can come in. A division one team has also been started where younger players may start to play.

- Should it be SSL and the goal may be quite tough there, some of the young players may feel better about playing Allsvenskan or in our Division One team. It all depends on how many we are interested in from Iksu and how many people are interested in coming and playing with the Thorengruppen, says Sjöström.

How have the current Thorengruppen players reacted?

- It's been pretty good. It is clear that any player can be disappointed, but at the same time it is elite business we are talking about. There are good alternatives in Umeå with three Swedish teams. I have tried to be transparent and honest from day one.

Still, it is not easy to merge two troops at the same time as one should make a club that is really a newcomer to a gold challenger. Some are required, both financially and organizationally.

- It is a challenge to weave two teams together in a short time, but on paper it is an extremely exciting construction. Team Thorengruppen is what Iksu youth was two years ago, and for many years we have worked with local players and had Sweden's best 02s and 03s. On paper it can be a really exciting mix, says Sjöström.
