According to the rule proposal that was presented last week, there would be an extension in the draw after regular time in the basic series matches in the three highest series, the men's and women's elite series and the men's sweden.

Extension would be played in 1x10 minutes in games eight against eight, seven outside players and a goalkeeper and determined as sudden death - the first team to score goals. If no team wins during the extension, the match is decided on penalties, best of five innings.

Both teams receive a score for the undecided result, the team that then wins the extension or the penalty will receive another point.

- It will be a small "happening", something that adds something to the game both for the fans and the team, said Håkan Sjösten, Chancellor of the Association.

Listened to the criticism

But not everyone liked it. The criticism of the proposal came as a letter in the mail.

"The Bandy Association's Competition Committee (TK) and the Rules and Judges Committee (RDK) have received a number of comments regarding extension games, both positive and negative," writes the association itself on its website.

At a meeting yesterday with the Competition Committee, Allsvenska Serieföreningen, Föreningen Svensk Elitbandy and the Rules and Judges Committee, it was decided that the competition committee should take a turn in this process, they continue.

At the end of next week, we will present a proposal on how to proceed.
