“I'm going to do the Paralympics. Almost two years ago, in the recovery room after being cut down by a 92-year-old motorist, Pauline Déroulède set a course to rebuild herself and "hold on" after the accident that required the amputation of her left leg. "I did not yet know in which sport, but it quickly became an objective," said the young woman, now aged 29, today. She turned to wheelchair tennis to hope to qualify for Paris 2024.

Questioned by our partner Brut, Pauline Déroulède looks back on her career and the difficulties in accepting her handicap. "Even compared to my partner, I said to myself:" How can she find me still beautiful, love me like that? " Above all, she goes back on her fight to introduce aptitude checks conditioning the renewal of the driving license for the elderly.
