The fact that Kalmar went on a real knock in the last round against Djurgården, 0-5, was clearly noticeable in the first half against Östersund. The exception for the first eight minutes was the defense game that was the priority. The giant areas where Djurgården could operate freely between backline and midfield would be clogged.

The result was a ball-trilling Östersund and a Kalmar that had to run copiously to allow the pass-able guests to play through the ball. But Kalmar succeeded really well. Östersund could not find a way through. They created some half chances, but it did not give a really hot finish on goal. Rewan Amin was the closest, but his finish in the open position went a bit outside.

Own goal

Kalmar might have had the best chance through Edvin Crona, but Aly Keita stood for a class save.

It would still be a goal before the first 45 was over. Fidan Aliti nodded inwardly on the back of a free kick, Crona shot and Ludvig Fritzon got a great miss when he was cleared and kicked the ball into his own goal.

Seen to the game a not entirely logical half-time result.

"They have a lot of ball and we won't be in the press," Kalmar's defender Henrik Löfkvist told Dplay about the first half.

"Very nice"

The second half started in the best possible way for Östersund. They got their first chance for a quick changeover and then Kalmar did not get along at all. Isak Ssewankambo was released and popped the receipt.

After the receipt, Kalmar began to take over more and more of the game. They had 2-1 inside, but this time it was sentenced for offside after a while in the refereeing team.

The decision came late. After a close fight in the penalty area between Henrik Löfkvist and Jordan Kadiri, the referee inflicted a penalty. Kalmar's very strong protests did not help.

Rewan Amin took care of the penalty and managed it in the best way. 2-1 and Östersund took the first victory of the season.

"Very nice, now we have the first victory and can look forward," Amin told Dplay.
