CD Tacón was founded in Madrid in 2014 and after only five years they took up the premiere, Primera Iberdrola, for the past season. Shortly thereafter, Real Madrid announced that they had taken over the club to make it their women's team - subject to the change of name only before the season afterwards - at the price of 300,000 euros, about SEK 3 million.

Now we are there. On July 1, 2020, Real Madrid has a professional women's team for the first time in the club's 118-year history.

Acquired stars

After picking in, among others, Sofia Jakobsson and Kosovare Asllani for the debut season in the high school, a new galactico project is now waiting to make the team more powerful. When the corona pandemic put a stop to further play, CD Tacón tia was in the league game.

According to Spanish press, Real Madrid have already set their sights on some of the biggest stars in the world and the first recruits can be presented already this week. The charismatic chairman Florentino Pérez aims to make the team one of the best in both Spain and Europe.

"The time has come to build a team that you will be very proud of," he says.

The transition from Tacón to Real Madrid has really been going on since Perez bought the team. The players have had access to the club's high-quality training facilities and facilities.
