The former F1 driver is kept numb in artificial coma. According to today's bulletin at Santa Maria Hospital in Siena, the condition is stable for the cardio-respiratory and metabolic part but seriously from a neurological perspective, AP writes.

On Monday, the second operation was performed for 2.5 hours.  

"In agreement with the family, no other medication will be issued unless there is a significant development," read today's bulletin from the hospital.

The Pope has written a letter to Zanardi

The case has involved large parts of sports Italy and Pope Francis has been involved in the case and wrote a letter to Zanardi. “Thank you for giving strength to those who have lost everything. In this painful situation, I am close to you and pray for you and your family. May God bless and you and let Mother Mary retain you, ”the Pope writes, among other things.
