He is nine in the world and seven are directly qualified for the US Open and so there is a wildcard to be handed out.

"I'm going to look for that wildcard," says Olsson.

"Doesn't take any big place"

He tells of the background to the US Open, which was about to run a slim tournament, changed and re-entered the wheelchair tennis.

- It was us who were top 10 on the men's side of the world who thought we would do something about this and pay attention to the removal of the wheelchair tennis. We are also as few as there, compared to 300-400 players they start with. We take no bigger place and there is no major health risk. We thought we deserved to be included. We published on social media and all of a sudden we had a dialogue with the US Open and in the end they became positive about us, Olsson explains.

"Problems with the right hips"

He has not trained as much as before during the corona pandemic, but tonight's decision is a motivating factor.

- I have some problems with the right hips that I get to investigate. Now that I've received this message, it's time to start training properly, Olsson promises.
