- I know Ola well before and I know he is the absolute best in his field. In addition, his personal qualities make him fit very well into the coaching team that we have here at the Swedish biathlon elite center in Östersund, says Uusitalo.

Ola Ravald's mission will be to work directly with the active to help them develop their skiing technique. First and foremost, the focus is on achieving a better driving economy, which means that by driving technically better, thereby, becomes more efficient. But also the ability to go technically right at high speed which, for example, in a sprint situation is becoming increasingly important in today's biathlon, the union says in its press release.

- I want to start from the beginning by observing the movement pattern to see where the strengths and weaknesses are. Based on this, we then control the development work and provide the haulier with suggestions for adjustments that can be about technology and strength, as well as mobility. Here I will work closely with the team's physical therapist Marcus Bystedt, says Ravald himself.

- With Ola in place in Östersund, we can carry out the technological development in daily training, which I see great benefits with, says Uusitalo.

Ola Ravald is currently working as a ski coach at Jämtlands Gymnasium, which he will continue in parallel with the work of the Biathlon Association.
For example, Ravald will continue as personal trainer for Linn Svahn in parallel, reports Expressen.
