World set Novak Djokovic organized a tennis tournament in Serbia and Croatia where three players afterwards tested positive for the corona virus, and today the message came that Djokovic himself was infected by the corona virus.

On Tuesday night, he posted a statement on Twitter stating that he is now remorseful.

“I am so deeply saddened that our tournament has caused injury. Everything that the organizers and I have done over the past month we have done with a pure heart and good intentions. We believed that the tournament met all the health protocols and that the health of our region was good enough, ”he writes, and continues:

“We were wrong and it was too early. I cannot adequately express how sad I am about this and every case of infection ”.

In the statement, he also invites everyone who was present at the competition to undergo tests and practice social distance.
