The 29-year-old suffered a stress invoice in the heel and missed the season ending in Holmenkollen last winter. Then the prognosis was that she could be back in full training already May 1, but that was not after several setbacks.

Only now is she back with the national team but in no other form is she.

- It is wonderful to be with the gang again and it is perhaps not strange that I became a little anxious today, says the Norwegian who felt that she did not have the energy she wanted at the roller-ski pass today.

"I went on a bit too hard, I'm a little disappointed in myself," Flugstad Östberg said self-critically.

- I think it's very fun to have Ingvild back in the squad. We've been training a lot together before, but we haven't had a single workout together in the past three or four months. It feels good that she is back to full, says national teammate Therese Johaug.

A tough season in the luggage

Östberg's season was largely defined by the race stoppage she was imposed after problems with training volume and nutritional intake. The ski star herself says she learned a lot from the process.

- You have to find a balance with your training, intake and energy balance. I hope I can find a good way to do it. I want to ski so that's something I have to work with, ”says Östberg to NRK.
