Heracles Almelo strengthened itself on Monday with Rai Vloet. The 25-year-old midfielder comes over from Excelsior on a free transfer and will sign a three-year contract until mid-2023 in the Erve Asito stadium.
Vloet returns to Heracles in the Eredivisie, where he also previously played with PSV and NAC Breda. Excelsior brought him back to the Netherlands via Frosinone in the Serie A and Sint Truiden in the Jupiler Pro League last year.
"From Excelsior I wanted to take a step higher and the Eredivisie certainly belonged to that. There was interest from several clubs, but the offer of Heracles Almelo fits exactly with what I am looking for", says Vloet on the site of his new employer.
"I am a midfielder who can face danger to the goal of the opposing team. I have scored goals and decided matches in several ways. That way I also want to be important for Heracles Almelo. I have heard that it is a nice club is. "
Technical director Tim Gilissen expects a lot from Vloet. "He has shown that he has specific qualities. He has also proved that he can score goals at Jong PSV, FC Eindhoven, NAC Breda and Excelsior. We will work with him to get the most out of it."
Vloet is the second player Heracles has committed for next season. Attacker Delano Burgzorg, who played on a rental basis in Almelo last year, was already taken over from Spezia.
