Resumption of team sports, not combat sports

The government has also authorized the resumption of collective sports activities from Monday "with appropriate preventive measures" against the "Covid-19 epidemic. Combat sports, however, remain prohibited. These new measures were decided on during a Defense and National Security Council meeting on Friday under the authority of President Emmanuel Macron During this meeting, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran noted that the indicators for monitoring the epidemic "remain generally good oriented "but that" vigilance remains strong, however ".

France has registered 14 additional Covid-19 deaths in hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the epidemic to 29,617, according to an assessment released Friday by the Directorate General of Health (DGS). At the same time, the number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care continues to decline.
