Olympique de Marseille has been fined 3 million euros for breaking financial fair play rules, but may well compete in the Champions League next season, UEFA said on Friday.

In addition to the fine, the Judgment Chamber of the Club Financial Control Commission (ICFC) of the body decided to withdraw 15% of the sums that the club will collect for its participation in European competitions for 2020-2021 and possibly 2021-2022 if qualified, and to impose a limit of 23 players on the squad who can compete in the continental cups until 2022-2023.
