The board of directors of the UAE Professional League decided during its meeting this afternoon to cancel the current football season, by not continuing the matches of the Arab Gulf League and the Arab Gulf League U-21 competitions for the current sports season 2019/2020.

In a press release, the association called for the holding of an extraordinary general assembly to discuss the implications for the two current and upcoming seasons 2021-2020, and to coordinate with the Emirates Football Association Board of Directors in this regard.

The meeting was chaired by the association's chairman, Abdullah Nasser Al-Junaibi, in the presence of Jamal Hamid Al-Marri, Vice President, Muhammad Obaid Al-Yamahi, Hassan Talib Al-Marri, Tariq Ali Al-Shabibi, Saeed Obaid Al-Kaabi and Jawaher Abdulaziz Al-Suwaidi Board Members, Walid Al-Hosni Executive Director Dr. Khaled Mohammed Abdullah, business development consultant.
