Romanian newspaper "Sport Media" revealed that the UAE Football Association has intensified its contacts with Romanian coach Olario Cosmin to take over the national team to succeed Serbian coach Ivan Jovanovic.

She said: "The Football Association submitted an official offer to Cosmin, which includes the former Al Ain coach and Al-Ahly youth receiving an annual salary of four million euros, with a two-year contract for a total of eight million euros."

She noted that "Cosmin did not give the Football Association a definite answer regarding his approval or rejection of the offer."

Explaining that "the Romanian coach is bound by a contract with the Chinese club Jiangsu Suning, and earlier confirmed his desire to complete the contract that ends in 2021."

Cosmin had contracted with Chinese Jiangsu in 2018 after his dismissal from Al-Ahly youth training, as the Romanian coach gets an annual salary of seven million euros, while he started his career in the Arab Gulf League news with Al Ain Club in 2011 with a salary of four million Euro annually, and "Caesar" moved to train Al-Ahly in 2013 in exchange for receiving an annual salary of 4.5 million euros, while his salary in 2015 after the historical achievement of qualifying for the AFC Champions League final was increased to 5.3 million euros, before he rose according to his contract with Al-Ahly in 2016-2017 season, to 6.5 million euros, but he was dismissed from the team's training due to declining results.

For his part, Cosmin's reaction to his candidacy to train the Romanian team came strange, after he told the Romanian newspaper "GSP", "I am not an animal until I do this thing and train the national team, especially since a coach was hired a short time ago, which is Merrill Radoi." .

He added, "I am really a Romania national coach because Radoi is my child and he is considered to be a member of my family, so how can I think of being a coach of the national team in the presence of Radoi?"

Cosmin categorically ruled out the reports referred to by Romanian media, that he is on his way to take over the national team, stressing that he does not think about this at all.
