When the English Premier League football wheel returns to circulation from Wednesday, it will be a small company in Hong Kong, one of the “anonymous” parties on this track.

"Printex / Circle DNA" plays a pivotal role in the return of the Premier League after stopping since March due to the new Corona virus, after it signed a contract with the League of five million dollars, according to which it provides "Covid-19" testing services for players and club members.

These periodic tests were among the main points of discussion that accompanied the search for the completion of the season in the past period, especially in light of the fear of many players of catching the infection and transmitting it to their families.

The company has established a center at the headquarters of each of the twenty clubs participating in the Premier League, to conduct tests twice a week in cooperation with partner laboratories in the United Kingdom, in preparation for the resumption of competitions this week.

According to the official figures published on the league's website, eight rounds of tests have been conducted so far, with an average of two days per round (except for the second round, which spanned four days), from May 17 to June 12. Tests included 8,687 people, and 16 club injuries, some of them players, were recorded in teams such as Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City, Watford, Bournemouth and Burnley.

These tests, whose results are usually issued within 48 hours, played a fundamental role in facilitating the completion of the football season in England, which is widely popular in the Asian continent.

"We are very proud to be able to fulfill this role," Danny Young, the company’s CEO and co-founder told AFP, during a meeting with him at its headquarters in Hong Kong, the former British colony, which was returned to China in 1997.

"I think all our team members will be proud of the resumption of the season in Primerliga," he added.

Cooperation with the English Premier League was a new area for the company, which is concerned with conducting DNA tests, for customers who want to know the health risks they face, such as the possibility of developing cancer.

Discussions between the two parties began about two months ago, in light of the English championship's search for exploring ways to resume the season that was suspended in mid-March due to the outbreak of "Covid-19".

The "Brinitex / Circle DNA" company is currently in talks with other champions, most notably the Spanish League, to conclude similar cooperation, especially in light of the potential harm of professional sport to deal with the reality of "Covid-19" for a long time.

And Young asserts that his company "is currently in talks with all major sports federations from rugby, to cricket, horse racing, I think we are talking to many large organizations" in the sports world. "

In addition, the company provides "Covid-19" tests to individuals in Hong Kong, and they charge $ 127 each, in an amount Young assures that his company does not earn any profit margin.

And he explains, "For us, we are facing + Covid-19 + not from the material profit approach, but because we have a responsibility to do something" in the face of the pandemic that led to the death of about 435 thousand people until Monday, according to a census conducted by AFP according to official sources. .

"Certainly, if our society is somewhat restored to normal, this is best for everyone involved, be it the community, the employees of the company, and our future business partners."

Young stresses that facing the virus, which first appeared in China in late 2019, "requires cooperation between the public and private sectors, and the concerted efforts of several companies to find a solution."
