During the season SVT will broadcast 14 games focusing on the top match in the series.

- For me it is just like last season between Gothenburg and Rosengård. It will also be interesting to see how last year's surprise Vittsjö will be able to follow up third place, says SVT's expert Frida Östberg.

Despite tough competition from other hard-hitting European leagues, Damallsvenskan is packed with Swedish national team stars. We find several of the leading players from the team that took the World Cup bronze last summer in the damall Swedish clubs. Among many strong names are Stina Blackstenius in Gothenburg / Kopparberg, Nilla Fischer in Linköping and Caroline Seger in Rosengård.

Rosengård also has Swedish football's big name for the future on the women's side, 17-year-old Hanna Bennison, who has already made her debut in the national team.

- We have a generational change going on in the national team, there are a lot of interesting players for the future that will be exciting to see. In addition to Bennisson, I think of, among others, Loreta Kullashi in Eskilstuna and Filippa Angeldal in Kopparberg / Gothenburg. Many of the older players will not be able to play all matches in a compressed game schedule, which gives more chances to the younger talents, says Frida Östberg.

The first broadcast of the season in SVT from damallsvenskan will be the match Rosengård-Piteå on August 2.
