The Swedish premiere round for empty stands was clearly played on Monday night and Malmö FF managed to take a win against Mjällby.

In the first half, the home team led the game, but by chance it was pretty even. Marcus Antonsson and Guillermo Molins were two of those who had positions for Malmö and the new acquisition Besard Sabovic and Mamudo Moro were close for Mjällby.

The team went to break without goal and early in the second half Mjällby had a huge chance to crack the zero, but Jesper Gustavsson dribbled the bar.

A few minutes later, the first goal of the match came instead. Christiansen got the ball from talent Tim Prica, who had the chance from the start, and the Danish got a dream hit that went in behind goalkeeper Carljohan Eriksson.

Mjällby offered tough opposition and had chances to acknowledge, but did not get the ball.

Instead, the Danish star, who has also been named team captain, scored his second goal as he attracted the volley from close range at extra time. Post by Eric Larsson.
