Since January 2019, Sead Haksabanovic has been loaned to Norrköping from Premier League club West Ham United. But as of yesterday he belongs to Norrköping.

- On the purchase side, this is the biggest deal IFK Norrköping has done, all categories. The good deals we have done over the last 4-5 years have given us the opportunity to carry out such a deal, the club's chairman Peter Hunt told the club's website.

Today it was all Swedish premiere - and Sead Haksabanovic delivered directly. After only three minutes in the meeting with Kalmar, he made 1-0 behind Kalmar's goalkeeper Lukas Hägg Johansson.

- I got the ball with me after a pass from Thern (Simon) and I was free. It was just putting it in the first corner. Of course, it's nice. Now I have confidence and that is just keep going, says Sead Haksabanovic in Dplay.

Bid on more

Haksabanovic had more chances to extend the lead. But instead of 2-0, Kalmar acknowledged seven minutes before the break when Romarinho made a 1-1 on a free-kick that went through the defense. After barely an hour, Norrköping still took the lead. That was through Christian Nyman who put up 2-1 from close range after a post by Simon Thern who thus made the second assist of the match.

In the final minutes, Kalmar was extremely close to a receipt after a strong solo performance by Isak Magnusson. But Norrköping held out and won by 2-1 in the series premiere.
