It was in the bronze match against England at the beginning of July 2019 that she seriously injured her foot and had to jump around with crutches for a ligament-damaged home diet and celebration. The problems were prolonged and other injuries followed.

You had problems with injuries last season. What is the status now?

- It feels very good. I was given some time to work on my physical form when I was home before returning to Germany. It has become like an extra preseason, which has felt good for my body that I have been able to work on to build up, have trained endurance and strength. I feel very strong and in good physical shape, says the Wolfsburg player to SVT Sport.

You played just over an hour. Was it you who wanted to be replaced?

- In recent matches we have rotated a lot. Since we have five exchanges, we usually change a lot of our offensive players. I played 30 minutes last Wednesday and now over 60. It is nice to have good playing time and feel that everyone in the squad is being aired. It feels very good.

What is it like to play without an audience?

- It's a different experience. You have noticed how much you hear how people talk, you also hear the coaches on the bench. There will be another silence on the arena but at the same time you can help with the communication on the pitch. It's sad that it's not clear to have our fans there, but you have to make the most of the situation.
