The bicycle vase, which is the mountain bike version of the Vasaloppet, has been decided every year since 2009, but this year it is set for the first time.

- As a reigning cycling vase champion in the men's class, it is of course sad not to be able to defend it, but in this strange time health and medical care goes first. I don't think it's possible to question that. Somewhere the world is bigger than what I am doing, says Lindgren.

Elisabeth Sveum is the reigning champion on the ladies side, while Lindgren is on the men's side. He describes the cycle vase as an important event for the sport.

- It is huge for us. The bicycle bag has a huge impact in Sweden, but also abroad. It means incredibly much to us cyclists and also to general movement and activity.

Will there be any alternative Bicycle Vase?

- I have been in the discussions, but I can not say more than that it will be a fun alternative for which I am charged. I would like to say that the home alternatives that have been implemented elsewhere can even attract more people who do not really dare to drive with number plates, but who might dare now.
