Italian Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora has announced the approval of the dates of the semifinal matches of the Italian Cup, as scheduled, in light of the crowded schedule of matches in Italy after a long pause.
"I am delighted to announce that my two semifinal matches have been presented, and the two matches will be held on June 12 and 13," Spadafora said on his Facebook page.
A ministerial decree banned sports events until June 14, but it was modified to accommodate the fixtures, which will see the Cup final being held on June 17th.
Three days later, the Italian league competition will resume, after more than three months of stoppage due to the new Corona virus epidemic (Covid-19), and the remaining 12 stages of the league are supposed to be completed by August 2.
Juventus will host the Milan team on June 12 in the second leg semi-final, knowing that the first match ended in a tie 1 - 1 in February, while the next day will witness Napoli's meeting with Inter Milan, and the first match ended with Napoli winning 1 - zero.
All matches will be played in Italy without fans, as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of Covid-19 infection.
