According to the press service, the coaching staff of Bragin will include Alexei Zhamnov, Andrey Kozyrev, Alexander Boykov, Rashit Davydov, Alexander Troshin, Yuri Zhdanov and Lars Johansson.
The previous national team coach was Alexei Kudashov, who led the team since the summer of 2019.
From 2014 to 2020, Bragin worked with a youth team, which under his leadership won one gold, four silver and two bronze medals at world championships.
It was previously reported that CSKA extended the contract with head coach Nikitin for three years.
