The entourage of Saudi billionaire Al-Walid bin Talal confides in Provence that he has no intention to buy OM, contrary to persistent rumors in recent weeks. The prince and businessman, in disgrace in Riyadh, "does not like football", launches a relative. "[Frank] McCourt does not want to sell the club and if ever it did, Al-Walid would not buy," said one of his advisers in the columns of the regional daily on Friday.

The fact that OM is on sale is however completely plausible: the American Frank McCourt would be well advised to sell the club this year, before having to settle the fines of financial fair play. The sanctions will be known in June. OM have lost money for four consecutive seasons.
