On Wednesday night, the Federal Board of the Athletics Association made the decision to resume competition operations around Sweden. The decision comes after the government, together with the public health unions, gave elite sport the go-ahead to launch last week.

The union believes that a framework has been developed for how the competitions will be conducted in a safe way that will in the near future be adjusted and published according to the new messages. The sport will be resumed for those active between the ages of 12 and 69 and will, according to the sports association, take place "on a small scale, regionally and responsibly".
