It was confirmed today, Wednesday, that more than a third of the remaining matches of this season of the English Premier League will be broadcasted free of charge live, after the company "Amazon" announced that it will allow fans to watch four games without subscription.
The English Premier League competition is scheduled to resume on June 17 after a long hiatus due to the emerging Corona Virus (Covid-19) epidemic crisis, and 33 of the total of 92 games remaining have been confirmed free of charge.
"Like everyone in this country, we are excited about the return of the English Premier League," Alex Green, managing director of Amazon Prime Video, which provides video on demand services, told British media.
He added: "We will allow all the other four games that Amazon Prime owns the rights to broadcast in the 2019-2020 season, to watch without charge, as fans will not need a paid membership to watch the matches through the service."
