With the current corona pandemic, uncertainty about the incoming winter season has been great.

On Tuesday, information came out that Fis is working on alternative plans unless the World Cup competitions in skiing can be carried out as planned due to the corona pandemic. This has given some hope for the cross country team.

- It still feels like it could be a season. With restrictions you may be able to carry out a season. Then all riders become more and more tagged. There is a hope there in the distance that we will have to compete, says Anders Byström.

- Now football leagues are going on so it feels like we should be able to compete in some form.

"Is there a plan B"

Byström says that there has been a great concern about whether the incoming season should be implemented.

- Of course I do. Given what the situation was like, you have not known how it will be. Certainly it has been an uncertainty to know if it is going to be a season, he says.

- Now we follow what Fis said and wait for their meeting in June when they nail the season. As it sounds to them, there is a plan B, that one stays within a country. Then it is an opportunity. The hope from Fis is that we will be able to compete before Christmas, and then we will see if it is possible.
