There was the electric bike, here is the bike now. The model of a German manufacturer still has some subtleties, such as the absence of an accelerator handle and the presence of pedaling to start.

Definitely, the Solex never stops inspiring new generations. After the bikes, we now see electrically assisted motorcycles, with pedals.

That means there is no handle on the accelerator. And that you have to pedal like on a bike. The faster you pedal, the faster you accelerate. It is true that a "pedal motorcycle" seems absurd. It looks like a child's toy. Still, it comes down to having the best of two worlds.

We continue to exercise like on a bicycle. But with the sensations and the pleasure of a real motorcycle. That is to say accelerations and speed, since we can make peaks at 90 km / h. It also means that if it climbs really dry, we risk sweating if we want to go fast.

But what is the difference with electric bikes? I have already seen models that can go at 80 km / h.

Yes, but it's still bikes: the frame, braking, wheels, everything is thought of as a bike. This is why, even if they go at 80 km / h, they remain considered as mopeds and prohibited on expressways. While there, it is a real motorcycle, the equivalent of a 125 cm3. So who has the right to go on the ring roads and on the highway. We just replaced the accelerator with pedals. And like all motorcycles, obviously, the license, helmet and gloves are compulsory.

And what is the autonomy?

120 km. So it is rather well suited to those who commute outskirts, downtown to work. It is the German manufacturer eRockit which has just launched its marketing. It is not given: 12,000 euros; more expensive than a classic motorcycle. In any case, if this develops, it should not be surprising, to be overtaken by two-wheeled pedals, on a national or on the device.
