According to the club’s press service, the agreement with the 44-year-old specialist was concluded for two years with the option of renewing for another year.

Semak has been heading Zenit since May 2018 and in the very first season he led the team to the championship title in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

Earlier, Vyacheslav Malafeev announced his departure from Zenit.
